Beginning from Fall 2018, four-year college students are mandated to fulfill 4 credits in core courses and allocate 8 credits, with a minimum of 2 credits from each of the four General Education areas, resulting in a total of 12 credits.

Students whose native language is not Mandarin can choose to enroll in a minimum of 5 English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) courses offered by other departments. It is essential to emphasize that these EMI courses must collectively amount to at least 10 credits and be verified by the General Education Center to offset 10 credits of general education courses.
Furthermore, students must fulfill an additional requirement by completing 2 credits of Advanced and Interdisciplinary Courses (EMI) provided by the General Education Center, bringing the overall requirement to 12 credits.
