Starting in Fall 2018, four-year college students, including domestic students and those proficient in Mandarin, are mandated to complete 2 core courses and take at least one course from each of the four General Education areas offered by the General Education Center, resulting in a total of 12 credits.
Students whose native language is not Mandarin can choose to enroll in a minimum of 5 English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) courses offered by other departments, with the GE Center providing an updated list of available EMI courses each semester. It is essential to emphasize that these 5 EMI courses must collectively total at least 10 credits and be approved by the General Education Center.
Furthermore, students must fulfill an additional requirement by taking one of the Advanced and Interdisciplinary Courses (EMI) provided by the General Education Center, bringing the overall requirement to 12 credits.
